Heather Abbs

Heather Abbs is General Manager at B&K Enterprises, a leading company in heavy highway construction and a preferred subcontractor for permanent and temporary traffic control devices. With over 20 years in the road construction industry, Heather has been an integral part of B&K for the past 11 years. Her diverse experience spans human resources, safety, logistics, and project management. In her current role, she oversees all B&K operations. Heather is also a Board Member at the Association of Pennsylvania Constructors, an organization that brings together more than 400 industry members, including contractors, engineers, suppliers, and manufacturers with a focus on Pennsylvania’s road and bridge construction. Through this role, she actively promotes women in construction and has been a key advocate for the Women in the Industry Panel since its inception at the annual Fall Seminar in 2018. Heather Abbs, beyond her managerial role, has been a catalyst for fostering inclusivity and diversity within the construction industry. As a passionate advocate for gender diversity, she actively champions initiatives that promote women in construction. Heather’s dedicated involvement in the Women in the Industry Panel at the annual Fall Seminar since its inception in 2018 reflects her commitment to creating spaces for women to excel and thrive in the construction sector. Her leadership extends beyond B&K Enterprises, driving positive industry-wide change by encouraging more women to pursue rewarding careers in construction.
