History of B&K Enterprises

B&K Enterprises was launched in 1987 as a woman-owned flagging company and was recognized by PennDOT as a Certified WBE (Women’s Business Enterprise). The firm quickly experienced success and, in the mid-1990s, began performing various types of drainage, pipe, and culvert installations as a prequalified subcontractor.

Today, we continue to innovate in the ever-changing heavy highway construction sector. This is evidenced by our development of a new retrofit system that supplements our existing fleet of J-J Hooks concrete barriers. This new system keeps up with the increasing deflective regulatory requirements while also providing the safest possible work zones. It was successfully used on a project for the first time in September 2017.

B&K Enterprises has navigated the journey from startup to the heavy highway construction industry’s subcontractor of choice over the last three decades. We look forward to continuing our growth as we look to the future.
