HR Generalist

Job Description

B&K Enterprises is currently seeking experienced HR Generalist or an enthusiastic entry-level HR Manager to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to establish and grow the Human Resources department.

  • Qualifications: Associate’s degree in HR plus 1-2 years’ experience, background in construction is a plus

Candidate Requirements

  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions

  • Support HR initiatives related to performance management and employee development

  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

  • Hande all unemployment paperwork, hearings, etc., monitor and analyze UC costs to the company

  • Responsible for all EEOC audits in their entirety

  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate a positive work environment

  • Conduct training sessions on various HR topics, including diversity, equity, and inclusion, to foster a positive and inclusive workplace

  • Manage and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices

  • Administer employee benefits programs and act as a point of contact for benefit-related inquiries

  • Facilitate performance evaluation processes and provide guidance to managers and employees on performance reviews

  • Responsible for recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, and interviews

  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes for new employees

  • Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement

    – Lead or assist in HR projects such as organizational development initiatives, culture enhancement programs, or employee engagement activities

  • Stay updated on HR trends and legislation changes to ensure compliance and recommend adjustments to policies and practices as needed

  • Handle exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement in employee retention and satisfaction

Skills

  • Strong computer skills and experienced with Microsoft Office and HR software
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Be able to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
