Estimating Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Estimating Coordinator to join our team. The Estimating Coordinator will be responsible for preparing documentation for bids, coordinating information with various departments, handling calls with contractors and potential barrier customers, along with various tasks and needs within the department.

Must have the ability to relocate to the Strongstown, Pennsylvania area before starting work (required).
- Job Type: Full-time
- Schedule: 8-hour shift, day shift
- Experience: 1 year of administration experience (preferred)
- Work Location: In-person
Candidate Requirements:
- Prepare paperwork prior to bids
- Print jobs from highway websites, provide to CE and supply a copy to job folder
- Identify bidders
- Download project plans
- Assemble quote and submit for approval
- Fax/email approved quotes
- Responds to all contractor, subcontractor and vendor inquiries in relation to bids
- Maintain positive client/subcontractor relationships
- Keep the Director of Estimating updated on workload, schedule, and follow their direction on tasked priorities – Any issues or concerns should be reported directly to them
- Assign file numbers to awarded jobs, sales, and rentals
- Track and follow up on quotes already out for bid after letting
- Coordinate with Contracts, Operations and Accounting departments on won bids
- Evaluate the location of various materials required for job and incorporate accurately into the bid
- Compare vendor quotes and lock in the best pricing
- Assist the Director of Estimating with any territory expansion or new business opportunities
- Handle rental and sales quotes
Skills:
- Computer skills – above average knowledge of software and bidding systems, Word, Excel, e-mail, and internet
- Technical skills – prior knowledge of state specifications and OSHA regulations regarding erection plans – ability to read plans and understand construction drawings
- Customer service – responds promptly to customer needs; respond to requests for service and assistance from internal and external customers; meet commitments
- Oral communication- speaks clearly in positive and negative situations; respond well to questions; participate in meetings
- Interpersonal skills- problem solving skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, listening and conflict resolutions skills, collaborative attitude
- Written communication- write clearly and informatively, edit work for spelling and grammar, present numerical data effectively, ability to read and interpret written information
- Ability to follow directions in an accurate and expedient manner
- Above average organization skills. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize
- Must be able to maintain professionalism no matter the stress level of the different departments
- Above average language and mathematical skills.
